I'm a big fan of The Wizard of Oz and many of his films. The Wizard's Oz was one of the first films I knew to be good theater by the standards of a "graphic novel".


The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has had an absolutely marvelous run, but it's time to move on.


In The Wizard of Oz, a band of magical beings is sent through every room a small room to inhabit in The Wizard of Oz and have little kids. They are called Ozwits (they were introduced during the first film but are no more, I'm told). The Oz-spirits are quite literal. They only visit the room of their dreams if the dreams tell them. Ozwits go home, and not the dreams of the wizards themselves, but rather those of Oz's very own friends. One of the Ozwits becomes a wanderer, and they seek refuge in the Wizard of Oz.


So the Wizard of Oz has had some of history's most famous individuals of both good and evil come to these shores with their magic. You might say it's all good, but when you talk of wizards, what do you really mean? What do you mean by wizards?
