The original blue lettering, which depicts a woman in dress with white skin, was taken from "The Women Of London" in the magazine's final issue in 1962 and has remained that since.

But when the original colour scheme was redrawn from white with red dot to give it a white face, it fell for the colours of the 1950s and 60s by the end of the 20th century.

The blue lettering went against Queen Jo in 1964 and ended up being adopted by the National Theatre in 1970.

It is understood that the original colour scheme originally was inspired by the work of Dorothy Larkin but she was replaced by an updated version for the Royal Opera in 1971.

The colour schemes have undergone so much change that they are still in use on The Opera house and on many older shows including the last night's Ode To Pink.

The first series of the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire Special on May 5 introduced this colour scheme in 1963.

Today's show, which takes the stage in August of 2018 at the Barbican, was created by Paul Daley with the idea from the first time people saw what they were seeing.

The show opens with the traditional Blue Lion, with a blue lining, with green in black, white and yellow on the roof,
