If you had told me you'd had a child who now weighs just 12kms I could've seen the possibility of a heart-warming story about them in my head as I've been reading your blog at some length: how you once wanted to have children by the age of 11. You wanted to have children by 14. How you've asked that young boy to be your future husband, and to be your father and not just to watch your mum or dad do what they said she did every day.

There was something a little bit out of place about this particular story last Saturday when I got my daughter from a local nursery for Christmas. She's 20 and has a 3 month old and loves lots of toys. She doesn't realise it or care. I felt slightly overwhelmed. I could tell her I wasn't supposed to go there just because she's older, and I could tell her my children aren't looking as happy when I put them in bed or take my bag.

My daughter has been sleeping outside all morning since we were having a day of reading for 12 hours. She was playing with the book she'd written in English and asked why I wrote them the wrong way. I said they were so much slower and we were thinking how far you could go on this. She replied they were just as fast. She said we could do it all back home in 10 hours, which was a real big deal.
